Early findings from Gates Foundation's Measures of Effective Teaching project released
The preliminary findings of the Gates Foundation’s Measure of Effective Teaching project were released Dec. 14. The study, involving 3,000 teachers in six districts (Memphis, New York City, Charlotte-Mecklinburg, Hillsboro, Fla., Dallas and Denver), examines five measures of teacher effectiveness to determine which measures, or combination of measures, work best when assessing teacher effectiveness.
