MCS redistricting will send about 1,500 students to new schools
The annexation of the Countrywoods-Eads and Berryhill neighborhoods in northeast Shelby County and the will shift of sixth grade classrooms from elementary to middle schools will shift the school assignments for some 1,500 Memphis City Schools students next fall. The changes will also allow MCS to fill the new Kate Bond Middle School, slated to open at 85% capacity or 973 students.
